Colcom Foundation Donates $1.85M to Local Nonprofits for COVID-19 Relief

Colcom Foundation has awarded $1.85 million to nonprofit organizations serving southwestern Pennsylvania that were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. General operating support grants were provided to 51 organizations.

“These community and environmental organizations are treasures because they improve our quality of life,” John Barsotti, President of Colcom Foundation, said. “This is a difficult time and we wholeheartedly trust these organizations so the decision to give grants was easy.”

Recipients range from Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art to Western Pennsylvania Conservancy. The largest gift totaled $500,000 and was given to American Red Cross of Southwestern Pennsylvania to avert a potential blood shortage.
